You know those sappy RomComs where the girl falls for the guy that was in front of her all along? Well, I’m the girl. The guy is cake.

I’m a classically trained Johnson & Wales graduate who never wanted to make cakes. I didn’t feel like I had enough time, couldn’t get out what I felt needed to get out. And then, just like in the movies, there was an “ah-ha!” moment;

A couple of years into my first bakery job, I was sitting on my porch and realized that I had just spent 2 hours saving hundreds (literally) of cake designs that I wanted to try to recreate. And I actually caught myself thinking “well you’re obviously doing this for the rest of your life”.

And here I am, ten years later, still obsessed with cake.

Some things have changed here and there, and the biggest is that I no longer spend hours dreaming of how I can remake something that’s already been done before. My focus has shifted to making designs personal. I want to look at your favorite colors, the lace on your wedding dress, the pattern of your favorite chair in your grandparents’ house. I want to hear about how you met and the space you’re getting married in. Almost every cake I’ve designed from the ground up has been inspired by everyday beauty, like the wallpaper in a restaurant's bathroom or the tile patterns on a friend’s kitchen backsplash. 

I want to create something with you. Something that’s special to you, something with a story. 

Priorities lay different for everyone, preferences always range. For the minimalists or the maximalists, I’m here for you and those cakes. For those that just want something a little (or a lot) extra, I’m here for that, too. 

The cakes that I create are such a tiny part in the grand scheme of so many special events and celebrations. My goal is to give them a sweet little place in your memories.
